HYWAX (SASOLWAX) 6213 Container Wax is a professional-grade mineral blend of highly refined mineral wax and triglycerides (vegetable wax), designed specifically for use in glass and container candles. Manufactured in Germany by market leader HYWAX GmbH, it has a low melting point of ~48°C.
Hywax blends are an excellent choice for container candles. Their low melting point and viscosity improve a candle's burning behaviour, and when paired with the right wick, they ensure that the molten pool reaches the container's wall. The waxes can absorb a large amount of fragrance oil and offer a strong wall adhesion. Oil cannot diffuse in the waxes, so the different substances will not separate while the candle burns. Hywax waxes are compatible with all common colours and fragrances used in the candle industry.
HYWAX (SASOLWAX) 6213 offers outstanding consistency, scent throw, and long-term stability, along with excellent plasticity (adhesion to the container). However, it is prone to shrinking, so it is not a one-pour wax; you will need to top it off to achieve a perfect finish.
With its creamy smooth appearance, ability to hold fragrance, and excellent burning properties, this container wax is one of the most widely used by professional candle manufacturers in Europe.

HYWAX (SASOLWAX) 6213 container wax is delivered in 1 kg, 5 kg, and 10 kg slabs.
Recommended pouring temp: 60–65°C. Add fragrance just before the wax reaches pouring temperature.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Wicking: HYWAX (SASOLWAX) 6213 can work well with ECO 4 or 6 in a 30 cl glass.
Usage recommendations:
- Recommended melting temperature: 70ºC
- Recommended pouring temperature: 65ºC
Suggested wicks for 9 cl candles: LX8-10 OR V6
Suggested wicks for 20 cl candles: LX12-14 or V10
Suggested wicks for 30 cl candles: LX16-18 or VRL 11
Suggested wicks for 50 cl candles: 3 X VRL 7
